About the National Aerospace Laboratory
NLR is the aerospace knowledge enterprise in the Netherlands. It answers questions such as: how can aircraft be made more silent, fuel-efficient and safer whilst increasing capacity on the ground and in the air? How can you ensure satellites to remain at a constant temperature so they can continue to function efficiently?
A staff of 650 employees develops new technologies, combining disciplines such as aircraft engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, information science, and psychology. They use state-of-the-art facilities such as wind tunnels and interconnected aircraft and air-traffic control radar and tower simulators.
NLR is targeting the entire lifecycle of aircraft: from research, via design, servicing and maintenance to modernisation in both civil and military aviation.
